My point is quite simple, the club continually get ridiculed and persicuted for not finding quality coaches or lack of commitment from players. Who is helping us? We are willing to form a club for the area, coach players from every school, and travel to coaching conventions to make ourselves better coaches. We are getting NO help from the other schools. They just send players (after they are already in high school) and could care less what happens after that. WE NEED HELP, GET INVOLVED...

Doesn't looking for, and finding coaches fall under the responsibility of the club director? I'm positive it isn't an easy job to do. However, there have to be former players and former coaches out there to fill the positions.Unfortunately, these people have to have the same vision as the club director, and must be willing to follow a game plan for their age group. Add to this, it must be done on a competitive level. Are these goals laid out for would be coaches, or are we going to have a...

Any idea where we can find those GOOD and DEDICATED coaches? The biggest problem with the area I see is the lack of commitment to learn on the high school coaches part. Year after year they are content with losing or maybe beating another local, but really bad team. Why not join COA, find ideas, steal them, and take them back to your high school team. Spend a season learning how to teach ball control. We don't know everything, but we must be doing something right. There is probably only...

Hooray, hooray!!!!
Now we need to get the players who need to play , to begin playing. They all can't be from the south end of town either. They don't even have to be from Vigo county. The players that go to Circle City have to fight their way on to some of the more competitive travel teams. There is no reason the Wabash Valley can't support 1-2 teams per age level. If your kid just wants to play just for playing sake, then club is NOT for them.
I'm not sure about area rankings, but TH South is ranked 10th in the state. Flat out, area volleyball around here isn't very good, and will continue to be poorly played until we develop a strong club program. COA is a start. The next step is to get the moms and dads to realize this must happen. Then we need a STRONG commitment from the players, families the coaches to put a quality program on the floor. Volleyball IS NOT CHEAP. TH North had 3-4 kids play club the last few years in town. TH...
