Good idea Beeler since we know how much press volleyball gets in this area (though I did see South highlights the other night - let's hope they look at the other schools and see how good the volleyball in this area is getting)

Sullivan Varsity went 3-0 at Evansville Tourney. Do not know the game totals for each match. I do know they defeated Heritage Hills and Evansville Central (don't know the other team). Sullivan versus Greencastle Wednesday - Kristen vs. Courtney

OK I guess part of our job at COA is to educate people about volleyball. SOOO, please tell your coaches in a nice way that points in volleyball are not service points. Points stastically are real points you score for your team, Kills + Blocks + Aces + (.5)(Block Assists). It is really sad to see in the paper someone with "25 Kills, 5 Blocks, 2 Aces and 10 Points". This player scored 32 points. Sorry, just had to vent.

Y'all (that's Sullivanese for You Guys, You All
 )missed a great match in Sullivan last night. Sullivan beat Greencastle in 4 but the momentum swings were huge and the rallies long. Great hitting and digging on both sides. I don't remember all the scores but the first game was 25-12 Sullivan and all the games after that went over 25 with Sullivan coming back from a 21-24 deficit in the 4th game.As a Sullivan fan, unfortunate the JV game went the other direction. We were without one of our outside hitters who plays all around and it hurt us. Sullivan won the first one but couldn't put the next two together. The "Kristen/Courtney" battle never transpired...Courtney stayed in the back row (you were lucky Kristen )...Tonight it's South Vermillion vs. Sullivan. |
